Digital Operations Manager – Aerospace Plant Operations

iT2 is hiring an IT Digital Operations/Support Manger for our Washington DC area client on a long-term contract bases. The successful candidate will come from a Network/Infrastructure centric role and is more of a 3-5 year professional in a coordination role to keep everything running smoothly in the warehouses.

iT2 is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated  professional responsible for the continuous operation, maintenance, and support of existing digital services and applications

• You will ensure the continuous operation of logistics warehouses for Aeronautics parts, based in Herndon, VA  and Washington D.C. area with travel between two sites for on-site work required.
• You’ll manage diverse projects, including the parts lifecycle across multiple domestic warehouses.
• Your role will also involve the development, implementation, and support of software and hardware to guarantee business continuity.
• The ideal candidate will quickly adapt to a complex, multi-cultural infrastructure spanning various time zones.

MUST HAVE:

• Proven success overseeing Aerospace Plant Operations
• Success managing both Agile and Waterfall Projects
• Excellent Communication Skills for collaborating as the liaison across the organization internally and with the plants in the U.S. including the users at various Warehouse locations
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and oversee simultaneous projects at different locations under different project methodologies

Key Responsibilities:
Development and Technical:

• Be responsible for running applications to guarantee business continuity
• Participate in business workshops to ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of applications
• Write technical and functional specifications for different application
• Insure the operation of the different incidents ticketing system
• Coordinate the UAT/BAT

Management:

• Plan and monitor the different stages of software evolution in agile and waterfall mode
• Coordinate with internal and external teams
• Ensure regular reporting on project progress

Job Qualifications
Knowledge and ability to manage both Agile and Waterfall projects with a collaborative team philosophy
